The Band
David
David has been playing keyboards, synthesizers and programming sounds and sequences since the mid-80’s. Hailing originally from England he is a huge fan of the new wave and modern rock movement. “I still remember being mesmerized by Planet Earth on Top Of The Pops on BBC1 Thursday nights”. David has collected a vast array of synthesizers and software through the years and puts these to work in recreating the arpeggios, waves and synth textures that Nick Rhodes made so famous. David also performs in Bay Area tribute bands For The Masses (Depeche Mode) and Erasure-esque (Erasure).
Bistie
Bistie has been playing guitar since the early 80s and still plays “vintage” gear from his favorite decade. Since the day Andy left the band, Bistie has been waiting for a call from Duran Duran asking him to join and he has been on the ready by learning every song. Over the years Bistie has played in a number of originals bands, some with indie CD releases. Then in the late 90s he founded Fast Times which he is still in today, and recently played with The Aftershoxx, Most Excellent, and now Sing Blue Silver.
Nick
Nick is an avid 80′s music fan and drummer extraordinaire, playing non-stop in the Bay Area music scene since 1995 — his longest stint being with the now-defunct Spinning Jennies. From 1997 to 2004, Nick helped the Jennies channel their inner rock demons and become one of the most prolific, revered, and long-lived power pop bands in the Bay Area. Nick also drums with Bay Area tributes This Charming Band (The Smiths), For The Masses (Depeche Mode), and Love Vigilantes (New Order).
Matt
Matt is an enigma to this webmaster (call me Simon). So much so, that I have absolutely no information whatsoever regarding his musical background. He sings and sings well, and when he’s not belting out various, cryptic Simon LeBon lyrics, he keeps busy with Bistie singing 80′s tunes in Fast Times.
Tim
Tim was raised by a family of wookiees on the planet of Kashyyyk, and traded his bowcaster for a bass at the age of 15 when Girls on Film invited him to live on Planet Earth. Since those Careless Memories days of the 80′s, Tim has played bass in cover and original groups in many a Late Bar, even while riding the Night Boat. His favorite Wild Boys bass influences include Geddy Lee, John Taylor, Pino Palladino, John Deacon and “that dude from Kajagoogoo”. (editor: Nick Beggs) Every New Moon on Monday, his New Religion is to practice John Taylor bass lines since The Reflex ain’t what it used to be, and hence things could Come Undone if he slacks off too much. Is There Anyone Out There even reading this?
